Day 1: International outbound flight. today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Colombo.

Day 2: Galle. On arrival, you'll be met by your private chauffeur-guide and transferred down to the south coast to Galle. Once here, you can settle into your hotel and enjoy some leisure time, depending on your flight time. If you have some time today, we recommend a gentle stroll around the local area, as Galle is an excellent city to explore on foot. Stay at Fort Printers.

Day 3: Galle. Today undertake a private city tour of Galle with your chauffeur - guide. Galle is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is home to a beautiful Dutch fort with quaint streets and pretty walkways. The fort area is the largest remaining fortress of its kind in Asia. 

Day 4: Galle. Today is free for you to explore Galle and the surrounding areas independently. If your interested in exploring Galle by bicycle, there are many different routes for you to explore. 

Day 5: Yala National Park. This morning, drive along the coast with your chauffeur guide to Yala National Park. You have a couple of nights to maximise your chances of seeing the leopard and sloth bear in the area. En route, there's plenty to see and you can ask your chauffeur guide to stop for any photo opportunities. Stay at Jetwing Yala.

Day 6: Yala National Park. Enjoy private safaris in Yala National park in the morning and late afternoon. You are likely to see spotted deer, wild boar and wild elephant and a variety of birds. If your really lucky you may also spot sloth bear and leopard - with on average one leopard per square kilometre. Yala has the highest density of leopard in Asia.

Day 7: Tangalle. Enjoy a morning safari at Bundala National Park before heading to Tangalle at the coast. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure. Stay at Buckingham Place. 

Day 8: Tangalle. Enjoy your day at leisure, relaxing on the beach. 

Day 9: Negombo. Your chauffeur guide will drive you to your hotel in Negombo. Relax and enjoy the scenery of Negombo lagoon. Stay at Jetwing Beach.

Day 10: International return flight. today your met by your chauffeur guide and transferred to the airport. Your chauffeur guide will make sure you arrive at the airport in plenty of time for your onward flight.

Day 1: International outbound flight. Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Colombo.

Day 2: Wadumunnegedara. On arrival in Colombo you will be met by one of our representatives and then driven to your accommodation in the countryside. Horathapola Estate is an old planter's house set in the middle of a coconut plantation, surrounded by paddy fields. Stay at Horathapola Estate.

Day 3: Sigiriya. After a leisurely breakfast you will be collected from Horathapola and driven over to Sigiriya in sri Lanka's cultural triangle. You will have the rest of the day to enjoy the countryside and perhaps wander to the local village. Stay at Aliya Resort and Spa

Day 4: Sigiriya. This morning you have time at leisure, maybe to enjoy the hotels pool. In the afternoon, you have a jeep safari in one of the three national parks in the area; the specific one will be chosen on the day to ensure you have the best chance of seeing wildlife, which includes elephants, samba deer and monkeys and a wide variety of birdlife.

Day 5: Sigiriya. This morning you will visit Sigiriya Rock, accompanied by your chauffeur guide, who will be able to provide you with the history of the rock as you admire the views from the top. On your return you will visit the Dambulla Caves, which date back to the 1st century. The caves contain various sizes of statues of Buddha. Additionally several of the caves have impressive ceiling frescoes. 

Day 6: Passikudah. You will leave the Aliya today and your chauffeur guide will first accompany you to Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka's second capital. The ancient city ruins have a mix of Buddhist and Hindu influences and are a great place to learn more about the history of Sri Lanka. After exploring Polonnuaruwa, you will drive for your next three nights by the coast. Stay at Karpaha Sands.   

Day 7: Passikudah. Today you are free to enjoy Sri Lanka's east coast. The calm sea is ideal for swimming or you might like to test out the hotel pool. 

Day 8: Passikudah. Another day is free to enjoy the coast. you might like to simply relax on the beach or enjoy the spa facilities. the hotel also offers excursions to a local fishing village if you would like to see some more local culture.

Day 9: Kandy. After breakfast, you will be driven to Kandy. The drive passess rice paddies and farmland which is ideal for spotting wildlife along the way. On arrival, you will have the rest of the day at leisure. Stay at Jetwing Kandy Gallery.

Day 10: Kandy. Today you will explore Kandy, taking in the Temple of the Tooth and Peradeniya Botanic Gardens. You might also like to take a walk around Kandy Lake, which is surrounded by local stalls and markets.

Day 11: Nuwara Eliya. You will be collected from your hotel and taken to Peradeniya Train Station. You will then board the train for the approximately four hour journey up to the tea country. The train route rises slowly through the changing countryside. From Hatton, the scenery is the most spectacular, passing waterfalls and many tea plantations. You will be collected by your driver from Nanu Oya Station and taken to your hotel for the next two nights. Stay at The Langdale By Amaya.

Day 12: Nuwara Eliya. An early morning start is recommended for your trip to Horton Plains as the views tend to be at their best in the morning. The 9 km circular route takes you past Little World's End and the World's End viewpoints before passing Baker's Fall, a 20 m high waterfall on your return to the car. You will have the rest of your day at leisure to relax. 

Day 13: Kotugoda. Today you will head down out of tea country and back to Colombo. The drive takes around five to six hours. You will be able to make stops en route and you may want to have lunch at Kitulgala, the location for the film "The Bridge on the River Kwai. Stay at Wallawwa.

Day 14: International return flight. after a leisurely breakfast you will be taken to the airport in time for your flight home.
